Red, red, red! Mysterious, dark, yet bright and totally lovely.
It always amazes me when working with a new color scheme how the same dye reacts with different yarns. One yarn came out a dark purple with burgundy and black undertones. The same dye with this yarn gave me every shade of red imaginable with perhaps a hint of purple here and there.
If I knew chemistry was this fun, I would have paid more attention to it in school!
Kettl dyeing means each skein is unique; no two skeins are exactly alike.
We recommend hand washing and air drying anything you make with this yarn. I can tell you that this is one of the softest yarns I have ever worked with; it works up beautifully, lays flat and has wonderful drape. Knit on a size 5 needle yields 5 stitches and 7 rows per inch. Crochet hook F (using SC) is 3 stitches and 2.5 rows per inch.
