The yarn was first kettle dyed pink, then overlaid with a fiery red and just a touch of black to give it depth. The final effect is a beautiful tonal red color with glimpses of pink & black throughout.
We used our favorite 100% baby alpaca sport weight yarn base for this color way. 291 yards per 3.5 oz. skein.
Kettle dyeing means each skein is unique; no two skeins are exactly alike.
We recommend hand washing and air drying anything you make with this yarn. I can tell you that this is one of the softest yarns I have ever worked with; it works up beautifully, lays flat and has wonderful drape. Knit on a size 5 (US)needle yields 5 stitches and 7 rows per inch. Crochet hook F (using SC) is 3 stitches and 2.5 rows per inch.
