The name, "Firecracker Red" tells you everything you need to know about the color of this yarn! It's bright, bold and pops at you! A brilliant red with the various depths of shade that kettle dyeing brings to hand dyed yarn.
Wooly used her favorite Alpaca yarn for this one; a sport weight yarn with 291 yards per 3.5 oz. hank. Kettle dyeing means each skein is unique; no two skeins are exactly alike.
We recommend hand washing and air drying anything you make with this yarn. I can tell you that this is one of the softest yarns I have ever worked with; it works up beautifully, lays flat and has wonderful drape. Knit on a size 5 needle yields 5 stitches and 7 rows per inch. Crochet hook F (using SC) is 3 stitches and 2.5 rows per inch.
