The fabric is sturdy but not stiff, it has been washed so no running of colors or shrinking of material. It is 42" wide and being sold as a 1 3/4 yard piece even though it is two yards BUT has two pieces cut out of two corners each about 4" X 5". So, you get the extra yardage instead of me neatening the end up. I have a close up of the missing corner for you to see.
